Zaragoza Airport records record cargo throughput in October with 21,000 tons transported

Zaragoza Airport Zaragoza has closed October with a “historic” record of cargo. Last month was the month of more commercial cargo traffic with 21,000 tons transportedwhich represents an increase of 52.7% compared to the same month in 2023.

Passenger and operations figures also showed growth. Specifically, Zaragoza Airport has registered in October 61,961 passengers (+3.8%) and 991 landing and takeoff movements (+14%). Of the commercial passengers, international passengers were the most numerous, with 40,247 (+12.1%), while 21,512 people (-5.5%) traveled to or from a Spanish city.

The airport served 991 flights in Octoberof which 877 were commercial, representing an increase of 25.8% compared to the same month in 2023. Of these, 646 were international operations (+29.2%) and 231 were domestic (17.3%).

In terms of cumulative data, in the first ten months of 2024, cargo facilities have recorded. 147,163 tons40.7% more than in the same period of 2023. Passenger numbers reached 591,270 passengers (-0.6%) who traveled on 8,634 flights (4.6%).

AENA GROUP AIRPORTS

The airports of the Aena Group (comprising 46 airports and two heliports at SpainLondon-Luton Airport and 17 airports in Brazil) closed the tenth month of 2024 with 33,587,444 passengers, 6.1% more than in the same month of 2023, handled 283,592 aircraft movements, 4.9% more than in 2023, and transported 137,308 tons of cargo, 22.7% more than last year.
