WWE reveals Roman Reigns’ new opponent during SmackDown tapings for next week

WWE taped next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown after tonight’s live broadcast.

We will have complete spoilers up shortly but the big angle that occurred was the start of Roman Reigns’ new feud. For weeks, we’ve talked about how Reigns and Drew McIntyre have been advertised for live events and their feud officially began on TV during the tapings.

There was a contract signing with Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. Reigns went out to the ring during the segment but McIntyre also went out to the ring to even things up and a brawl broke out.

Reigns is scheduled for WrestleMania Backlash so it looks like Reigns vs. McIntyre is happening on that show. Thre was a smaller tease for that match tonight when Sami Zayn told Reigns that McIntyre has been “chummy” with RK-Bro and they’ve been saying negative things about him and The Bloodline. According to fans at the tapings, there was no sign of Shinsuke Nakamura during the segment so it doesn’t look like Nakamura vs. Reigns is happening anytime soon as some had suspected.
