Three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Chauncy Glover died at the age of 39 Emmy and Los Angeles television news anchor, died unexpectedly at the age of 39his family announced.
In his last job, Glover had been co-anchoring KCAL (CBS) news with Pat Harvey and Suzie Suh. “This unexpected loss has come as a shock to our newsroom and this afternoon he left us. “We, Sherry and Robert Glover, along with Chauncy’s dear family, are devastated by the unimaginable loss of our beloved Chauncy. He was more than a son and a brother: he was a beacon of light in our lives and a true hero to his community,” his family said in a statement that did not disclose the cause of death.
Prior to working with KCAL in Los Angeles, Glover was the first African-American anchor at KTRK in Houston.where he worked for eight years.
