Vox adds a new front to its offensive to the Government in the courts. This Wednesday, Santiago Abascal has announced that his party will file a complaint against Pedro Sánchez for “reckless homicide and omission of the duty to assist”. “Sanchez’s policy kills,” said the leader of Vox. in allusion to the management of the catastrophe caused by the worst DANA in decades. A tragedy that, according to Abascal, “has worsened” because of the actions of the Government.
Abascal considers that his formation, as part of the opposition, should not only help manage the tragedy, but should “denounce that the failed Autonomous State presided over by Sánchez and his subsidized non-governmental organizations” have failed the victims. “Not only have they not helped, not only have they not arrived on time, but they have have hindered and criminalized the help of volunteers.“, said the party leader.
The reproaches have been multiple in an appearance of just six minutes in which he has accused the Government of hiding the figures of missing persons, of “making up” the criminal responsibility of the administrations” and of “washing their hands”.
“Even today there are areas where they have not seen a single police officer, military or firefighter, where only the help of volunteers has arrived,” lamented Santiago Abascal, and then sentenced: “Everything has been a nauseating political calculationto cover up the greatest tragedy of the last decades and hide the criminal responsibility of the administrations and politicians”.
Vox is convinced that “the magnitude of the tragedy from the human and material point of view has been aggravated as a result of the political actions of Pedro Sánchez”, whom Abascal has pointed out for showing “an insensitive attitude towards his compatriots”. “He washed his hands in an absolutely criminal evasion of competence” and uttered a phrase “that will haunt him forever”: “If they want help they should ask for it”.
