The stick didn’t even graze him.

The aggression suffered this Sunday by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, during his visit to the town of Paiporta together with the King and Queen and the president Valencian Carles Mazón was minimized hours later by several national leaders of the PP.who accused Sanchez of fleeing from the throwing of a stick that “did not even graze him”.

One of the most critical was the deputy and former PP spokesman in Congress, Rafael Hernando, who said that “physical attacks are always condemnable, whoever they are against”, but also accused the president and the entire government of having sought “political gain” from the tragedy in Valencia. “The fatuity, arrogance, and irresponsibility with which the government has conducted itself in this tragedy, thinking of political gain, is also reprehensible,” he said.

Minutes later, Hernando published another message on his X account (the old Twitter) criticizing that the “media parrots of sanchismo” try to “justify his escape with a stick that did not even graze him”.. The PP leader also praised “the king and Mazón who will stay to show their faces and channel the indignation of the people”.

For his part, the popular senator Vicente Azpitarte published a video of the moment in which Sánchez was leaving Paiporta escorted by the security services after receiving the attacks, assuring that this physical violence is the confirmation of the fact that “the people of Valencia consider him the culprit of the chaos”.
