Roman Reigns is taking a small step back from being a full-time WWE star after recently signing a new contract with the company.
As previously reported, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is slated to take some time off from WWE. Last Saturday night, he told fans at a live event in Trenton, New Jersey that he may not be back because he’s starting a new phase in his life
Pwinsider.com confirmed today that they were told by one person in WWE there is “no drastic change” regarding his status, but he will be working a “lesser schedule” when it comes to touring for live events. Another source said Reigns isn’t “disappearing.”
WWE will be using him in big markets for house shows just like Randy Orton, who works selective house shows.
Reigns is not advertised for any TV events or house shows in July and August beginning after the June 24th edition of SmackDown until Labor Day. As of this writing, he is only advertised for Money In The Bank and SummerSlam. With everything in WWE, things can change and he could be added to advertisements for upcoming shows.
