Tony Khan recently announced that his purchase of Ring of Honor had been finalized. Khan will now shop the property around to see if he can find a television or streaming home for the brand. The first step towards that end was to make sure all the intellectual property and trademarks were locked down.
Two new filings with the US Patent & Trademark Office reveal that has been completed. The marks are registered to “ROH Acquisition Co., LLC,” a corporation formed by Tony Khan to handle the purchase. The registered address is TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, where AEW’s offices reside.
The name “Ring of Honor” and the stylized initials “ROH” were both protected in the filings. What appears to be a mockup of a logo was also included. The descriptions for both entries were standard for a wrestling-related trademark.

Fans have been hoping for some news about the future of Ring of Honor. Tony Khan is hoping to keep the brand going into the future. Now that he owns the intellectual property, the real work can begin.
