Futaba Igarashi is a 22-year-old woman who has entered a new job. She is very short and cute with only a single complaint. Futaba is often mistaken for a high school kid despite her age.
Harumi Takeda is Futaba’s senior from her office. He is physically huge and loves to pick on Futaba.
The plot structures up through various comic interactions between the two characters. Futaba is constantly annoyed by her boisterous senior. However, as the plot evolves, Futaba starts feeling herself moving more towards Harumi even though he annoys her.
My Senpai Is an Annoying journey through the lives of these two main characters as Futaba struggles to understand how she really feels for Harumi.

The anime has announced some basic information and release details of My Senpai Is Annoying. Here is what we know so far about the upcoming anime.
The anime was first announced on 1 July 2020. However, the first easter egg regarding the release of the anime was left in the 2018 anime, Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku episode 2. During a scene, two manga covers are clearly illustrated. One of them was Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui, which was released in the spring of 2021. The other manga shown during the same scene was My Senpai Is Annoying. The three manga series share the same publisher, that is, Ichijinsha.

On 27 April 2021, it was announced that the anime would be released in October 2021. Although the anime is confirmed to release in fall 2021, a specific date is yet to be announced.
Four promotional videos have been released so far. On April 25, 2021, the latest promotional video was uploaded. The video features four major characters in the anime: Futaba Igarashi, Harumi Takeda, Sakurai Touko, and Kazama Souta.
The four videos feature the same video but have different narrations from the characters. Each video promotes the manga and the upcoming anime.

Staff And Cast
My Senpai Is Annoying anime also announced its staff and main cast. Ryota Itoh will direct the series. The screenplay will be written by Yoshimi Narita. My Senpai Is Annoying anime series’ will have music by Hiroaki Tsutsumi. The sound director of the series is Takeshi Takedera, and Jiko Abe will illustrate the character designs in the anime.
