Mia Yim’s contract with Impact Wrestling is shorter than expected

Mia Yim made her return to Impact Wrestling on Saturday night at the Under Siege event where she saved Taya Valkyrie from a post-match beatdown at the hands of Deonna Purrazzo. This teased a future match between Purrazzo and Yim.

Shortly after her return, it was reported that she had signed a contract with Impact Wrestling. However, it’s not a long-term contract, according to Fightful Select.

The deal is for only six months, which will keep her with the company through the Bound For Glory pay-per-view in October. The report stated both sides aren’t opposed to the idea of extending the contract.

She made her in-ring return at a WrestleCon show last month, her first match since being let go by WWE last November. She scored a win over Athena (Ember Moon).

Yim previously worked for Impact from 2015 to 2017 under the ring name of Jade where she won the Knockouts Championship. She also became the Queen of the Knockouts in 2016 before signing with WWE in 2018.
