Lola Herrera, new star to be added to Cariñena’s “Walk of Fame

The actress Lola Herrera will star this Sunday, November 10, in Cariñena in a special celebration of the World Wine Tourism Day. At 5:00 p.m. he will lay his hands on the Paseo de las Estrellas de la D.O. Cariñenajoining a list of 24 celebrities who have already left testimony of their visit and their appreciation for the Wines that are Born from the Stones. At 7 p.m. he will perform his latest play at the Olimpia cinema, “Three infinite hearts: Federico García Lorca, Antonio Machado and Miguel Hernández.”in which the performer recites some of his best-known verses, accompanied by pianist Víctor Carbajo and baritone Luis Santana.

With a career spanning more than 70 years and a very wide range in all genres, Lola Herrera (Valladolid, 1935) is one of the most recognized actresses in Spain. She has especially excelled in theater with roles such as her monologue in “Cinco horas con Mario”, which she performed for more than ten years; and successes also in film, such as “Función de noche” and television, with series such as “Un paso adelante”.

With the montage “Tres corazones infinitos”, he shows how the work of these three great poets “touches the deepest part of our guts. A nation, a culture, can reconstruct its past, present and future to the extent that poetry portrays them with its words”. Lola Herrera recites titles such as “Yo voy soñando caminos”, “El niño yuntero” or “Preciosa y el aire”… which together with others, sung by Luis Santana, present all the beauty and excellence of three unrepeatable authors. Tickets, at the single price of 15 euros, can still be purchased this Friday at the municipal offices from 8:00 to 14:30 hours or at the box office on Sunday.

In keeping with the tradition that celebrities invited to events organized by the D.O. Cariñena or the City Council leave a testimony of their passage on the Paseo de las Estrellas, the actress also will lay her hands on a cement vine leaf, in what is already one of the most original signs of identity of the Denomination and a striking tourist attraction.

The actress will make an Aragonese “tour” this weekend and, a day before, she will be at Ejea de los Caballeros representing the same play at 21.30 pm at the Teatro de la Villa.
