The Second Vice-President and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díazreported this Monday in Valencia that until now a total of 106 files have been opened against companies for allegedly having failed to comply with labor regulations within the framework of the DANA. In it, he stressed: “There is no warrant or safe conduct that would serve to preclude a rule such as the Occupational Risk Prevention Law”.

Díaz has also stated that the following have been requested 1,490 temporary layoff plans have been requested (ERTE) because of the DANA and that they are thus providing “protection” to more than 18,600 people. He has also assured that the deployment of this mechanism is being “documented on a daily basis”.

In the same way, he explained that it is being carried out a “exhaustive follow-up” of how it is working. This includes a reinforcement of more than 50 people in the public employment services and twice-daily meetings.

The minister, the councilor and the economic agents have discussed during the meeting the plan endowed with 50 million euros for the contratación de personas desempleadas en las zonas afectadas by the DANA. Subsequently, Díaz discussed the plan with the heads of the municipalities involved, since the local corporations will directly manage this direct aid.
