Kota Ibushi Vows To ‘Fight Until The End’ Amid Fallout With NJPW

Kota Ibushi is one of the few wrestlers who weren’t native to New Japan but made it big in the promotion. Ibushi is the only man in the history of NJPW to have won Best of the Super Juniors, New Japan Cup and G1 Climax. He’s now speaking out against alleged power abuse in New Japan.

Ibushi took to Twitter on Saturday, May 14th, to throw some more shade at New Japan. Here’s the English version of Ibushi’s tweet, translation courtesy of Google translate.

“I’m going to fight until the end. I won’t yield to a lot like them! #OneDayYoullKnow #FeelingsDontChange

Ibushi claims he was threatened with termination by NJPW talent relations staffer Kikuchi just before he started speaking out. Ibushi says he plans to release all the receipts to prove his statements about the toxic culture in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and his latest tweet shows that he has no intentions of backing down from his stance.

The Golden Star has also removed all mentions of New Japan from his Twitter bio and changed his header image to that of the sign he held up when he announced his retirement from DDT and NJPW.

NJPW have so far kept mum on the situation. A reconciliation is unlikely at the moment, but we hope that cooler heads prevail so the two parties could sort out their differences. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more!
