Jamila Woods has shared another new song from her next album. The latest single from Water Made Us is titled “Boomerang,” and Woods co-wrote it with Nao, London producer Grades, and producer and composer George Moore. The track comes with a video shot in reverse by Vincent Martell and Jordan Phelps. Take a look below.

In a statement about “Boomerang,” Woods said the song is “about that kind of relationship that keeps popping back up throughout your life, that magnetic attachment you have to someone and the excitement and anxiety that comes with wondering ‘will we or won’t we?’”

Water Made Us is Woods’ follow-up to her 2019 LP, Legacy! Legacy!. She announced the new record in July with “Tiny Garden.” Water Made Us is out October 13 via Jagjaguwar.
