In events such as natural catastrophes, it is unfortunately very common for them to be spread on social networks hoaxes and fake news (known as fake news).
Sometimes, those who give fuel to hoaxes are not citizens or anonymous accounts on social networks, but may also be the media themselves.
This is the case of what has happened with the devastating DANA which has devastated the province of Valencia, and the curious thing about this case is that it has been the news of a network that has denied a hoax spread by a program of the same station.
Telecinco News was broadcasted this Friday from Paiporta and the anchorwoman Ángeles Blanco questioned a video that was circulating as if it were from this crisis, when in fact it corresponds to floods in Zaragoza last year.
The point is that a day earlier, the same video was seen on The critical eyea current affairs program also broadcast by Telecinco and presented by the journalist Ana Terradillosas if it had been recorded in Valencia this week.
“As in any tragedy, a multitude of hoaxes are circulating that directly affect the people who are suffering the most at this time. Images, headlines and some scenes that circulate through the social networks and that have nothing to do with reality“, he said in Informativos Telecinco Ángeles Blanco.
