Five Government-Generalitat working groups formed to facilitate resources to those affected by the DANA

The Presidency of the Government has communicated this Monday that the following working groups have been constituted five joint Government-Government of Catalonia working groupsunder the commitment of the Executive to facilitate the Valencian Community “all the human, logistical and economic resources required, at all times and as quickly as possible” as a result of the effects of the DANA.

In a press release, the Presidency of the Government details that the groups formed are those of Health, Infrastructures, Social Services and Housing, Employment and Enterprise, and Interior, with their respective ministers involved.

The Government’s priority, the note adds, “continues to be to save lives.recovering the bodies of those killed and restoring basic supplies and services”.

Regarding the Health group, the Minister Mónica García explained, according to the press release of the Presidency, that the Ministry and the Regional Ministry will be dedicated to protect victims, affected people and volunteers, and added that “The main challenge now is the epidemiological surveillance and the prevention of outbreaks”.

To this end, the head of the Center for Coordination of Alerts and Health Emergencies (CCAES), María José Sierra, has been sent to Valencia, together with a team of professionals who have been coordinating on the ground with the Generalitat Valenciana since Monday to prevent outbreaks.

On the other hand, the Infrastructure group has agreed to develop a comprehensive emergency plan to coordinate the recovery of mobility and basic infrastructures in the province of Valencia.

Puente will go to Valencia

In this regard, the note reports that the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puentewill come to Valencia to continue talks and work on the recovery of road and rail infrastructures.

Also discussed was the need to to reinforce attention in cases of socially vulnerable families.and to extend the coverage of this aid to cases of supervening vulnerability after the catastrophe.

Housing assesses material damages
