Feijóo claims the solidarity of the PP communities and accuses Sánchez of “resigning from his responsibilities”.

The leader of the PP has pulled territorial muscle and has exhibited the internal unity of his party in the midst of the crisis over the management of the DANA. Alberto Núñez Feijóo has claimed the solidarity of all the communities of the PP with the Valencian Community and has defended, in part, its baron Carlos Mazón, pointed out precisely by the management of the natural disaster. Likewise, the leader of the opposition has put the burden of responsibility on the central government which, according to Feijóo, has “resigned from its responsibilities”. by not declaring a national emergency and taking command of the crisis.

“The Government did not want to decree the national emergency. They have resigned from their responsibilities,” said the president of the PP during the meeting he held with the national leadership and the regional presidents of the PP by videoconference. Feijóo’s main argument is based on the fact that the agencies that informed the Generalitat depend on the Government, such as the Hydrographic Confederation of Júcar and AEMET.

The popular has limited himself to repeat, although this time in front of the popular barons, the same words that the leaders of the national leadership have pronounced every time they were asked about the management of Mazón: “The Generalitat is turning to the greatest national catastrophe that we remember in the country”. He has not made any other clear defense regarding the management of the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, who has refused to ask for the national emergency as Feijóo has been requesting since last Thursday. On the other hand, he has claimed the “solidarity” of all the territories governed by the PP. “No one has had to request it”, Feijóo remarked, in an ironic tone, since President Sánchez offered last year’s aid only to those who requested it.

“We are at the disposal of the Valencians. They do not have to ask us for anything,” he has emphasized during a telematic meeting with the regional presidents of the PP, in which he explained that the communities are supplying the actions that should be done by the central government. “This is the policy that works, from the practical, ethical and moral point of view. It is the policy that the country needs”, added Feijóo, who considers that the State of Autonomies has worked. For Feijóo, the response of the territories is the proof that “the State of the autonomies has worked”.

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has cited to regional presidents to discuss the DANA ten days after the floods. that affected five communities with special emphasis on the Valencian Community, the popular barons will exchange information on the management of the tragic cold drop that has left so far more than 200 dead and countless missing in addition to material damage especially in the Valencian villages.
