Animated film returns to Ainzón in the XXI edition of its days, with a tribute to Alfredo Mañas

The animation cinema returns to be the protagonist in Ainzón from this Thursday, November 7th, until this Sunday, November 10th.. Animainzón, the Ainzón Animation Film Festival, which has been presented this Tuesday in the press room of the Diputación de Zaragozawill celebrate its XXI edition paying tribute to the writer and scriptwriter born in Ainzón, Alfredo Mañas, coinciding with the centenary of his birth. Animainzón was born more than 20 years ago as a result of a conference on the figure and work of Mañas, whose birth is 100 years ago. His family will collect the award, with the presence also of his son, the actor Achero Mañas.

The Animainzón program offers a program with various activities aimed at schoolchildren, an artificial intelligence session and screenings. The main event of the days will once again be the national animation short film contest, which will be held on the occasion of the has once again broken its own record with 133 projects received, from which 15 finalists have been chosen and will be screened on Saturday afternoon at the competition, from which the winner will be chosen.

PROGRAMMING

The program of the conference, organized by the City Council of Ainzón, will begin on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. in the cinema hall with a tribute to Alfredo Mañas. The film “Los tarantos” will be screened. The Friday the activities will be aimed at schoolchildren and will begin at 12.00 there will be a screening of eight short films for the students of El Pomillo school. of Ainzón among which they will vote for their favorite short film in order to award the School Jury Prize.

In the afternoon, at 19.00, a tribute to Alfredo Mañas will take place again in an act presented by Silvia Alonso. a video will be shown and a commemorative souvenir will be presented to his relatives. At 19.30, the inauguration of the conference will be held. with a presentation by film director Javier Macipe, twice nominated for a Goya award, who will talk to the audience about his latest work, “La estrella azul”. The day will end at 21.00 with wine and live music in the cinema lobby.

On Saturday, the day will start at 11.00 with activities for all audiences around artificial intelligence. with free admission. In the afternoon, from 18.30 the national short film contest Animainzón 2024 will be held. with a new record of works received. Presented by Elisa Navarro, during the session the 15 finalists of the contest will be screened with the presence of their authors and the audience voting at the end by means of ballots. As a novelty, this year the short films have different lengths.

On Sunday the days will begin with the screening of the children’s film “Buffalo kids”. by Peter Shon and in the afternoon, at 18.30, the awards ceremony will close this new edition.
