Early November, Andújar hosted the eleventh edition of the First Oil Festival. organized by the Diputación de Jaén, the City Council of Andújar and the Chamber of Commerce of Andújar.

Broncano was the town crier of the festivity.The event included multiple activities to learn more about the millenary Olive Culture and aims to place the province of Jaén as a world reference of the olive grove.

At the event a hundred olive oil companies from the province of Jaén participated.93 mills and cooperatives and 7 companies related to the cosmetics of the oil and the wood of the olive tree.

According to its organizers, this event “has become a must-attend event and much awaited by both the olive oil sector in Jaén and the tourism sector”.
