Academy Iris Awards announce nominees, with Atresmedia as the favorite with 26 nominations

The Academy of Television and Audiovisual Arts and Sciences has announced the professionals and programs nominated for the Iris Awards. Iris Awards 2024 among the almost 800 applications submitted by broadcasters, platforms, production companies, etc. and members of the Academy, 200 more than in the last edition.

The winners will be voted on by the academicians from among all nominees, in secret and before a notary, and will be announced during the awards ceremony. to be held next January 14 2025 at the Gran Teatro Caixabank Príncipe Pío.

In the coming weeks, the Academy Council will meet, made up of representatives of the Board of Directors, television networks, platforms and rights management entities, which will be in charge of choosing the Best Original Content for Platform, Best Program and Best Regional Presenter..

It will also be the Institution’s Council who will award, for another year, the Jesús Hermida 2024 Award, in recognition of a professional career linked to television. At the Iris Awards gala, the Specialized Press Iris Award will also be presented, which this year went to the program Cifras y Letras on TVE’s La 2.
