Four protesters arrested and 31 police officers injured after protest in Valencia over management of DANA

Four protesters have been arrested and 31 police officers have been injured in the riots in the center of Valencia during the massive march called to protest against the management of the DANA and demand the resignation of the President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón.

As reported by police sources, it appears that the perpetrators of the riots belong to the extreme left and from the beginning of the protest they tried to break it up. In the end, a group of violent demonstrators attacked the agents on their way to the Generalitat and had to intervene.

Two of the four detainees have been arrested for public disorder and others two for assaulting law enforcement officersaccording to the sources. In addition, thirteen other demonstrators have been identified.

At the beginning of the demonstration there have been incidents in front of the Consistory, where a group of young people threw flares and mud in an action that required the intervention of riot police.

Subsequently, at the end of the demonstration and in the vicinity of the Plaza de la Virgen, there has been again throwing mud, chairs and other objects at the officers, who intervened again and reduced at least one of the interveners.
