Riots and charges in front of Valencia city hall in protest against the management of DANA

A massive protest This Saturday afternoon, a massive protest took place in the streets of Valencia to denounce the management of the authorities in the worst moments of the DANAand ended with police charges.

Dozens of entities have called for a multitudinous march to demand accountability from Carlos Mazónpresident of the Generalitat Valenciana, for an action that they consider “negligent” and that has cost lives.

Despite having developed peacefully, the tension has increased. In front of the city hall of Valencia have been experienced tense moments when police officers have been forced to charge.

A small group of the demonstrators had lit flares and attempted to burn EPI protective suits tied to one of the doors of the town hall.

In addition, police officers have had to prepare for action after mud throwing against the headquarters of the Presidency when the march had already officially ended.

Thousands of people, 130.000 according to the Government Delegation, have gathered this Saturday in the streets of Valencia under shouts of “murderers”, “resignation” and “Mazón, to prison”.
