The Teatro de la Estación hosts the 1st Zaragoza International Theater Exhibition

Zaragoza’s Teatro de la Estación organizes the first edition of the MIT ZGZ24 (International Theater Showcase of Zaragoza), an event that is part of the RED-NEXOS project. This initiative, promoted by the Zaragozano theater and its resident company, Tranvía Teatro, seeks to connect the city with the main international networks and circuits of the performing arts. It will take place from Tuesday, November 12 to Sunday, November 17 at the Teatro de la Estación.

With a focus on interculturality, the Festival is presented as a meeting point between companies, creators and the public.with theater as a tool to promote mutual understanding and the development of the performing arts. globally. The RED-NEXOS project also integrates the Circuito Ibérico de Artes Escénicas, which brings together 16 theatrical spaces in Spain and Portugal, as well as the Eurasia Theater Association, which connects theaters and festivals from 30 countries in Europe and Asia..

In this first edition of the MIT ZGZ24, Zaragoza will host leading international companies such as the Théâtre du Rond Point de Valréas (France), Teatro das Beiras from Covilhã (Portugal), Prólogo Producciones Artísticas from Sao Paulo (Brazil), Cia. Akròama from Cágliari (Italy), the Braga Theater Company (Portugal) and the Ozurgueti Drama Theatre (Georgia). These groups will present their shows and will participate in round tables and colloquiums throughout the week.

The programming of the Showcase will include plays by important international playwrights such as Rémi De Vos, Tankred Dorst, José Saramago, Herbert Achternbusch and Yannis Ritsos, offering a rich and varied cultural proposal based on artistic quality and a strong social commitment.

The official welcome to the companies will be on November 11, when this essential cultural event for the city will begin. All the shows will feature surtitles in Spanish to ensure accessibility to the public.

The advance tickets can be purchased through the website of the Theater, at its offices (C/Aljafería 9 Zaragoza) from Monday to Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. or at El Corte Inglés. They can also be purchased at box office of the Teatro de la EstaciónDomingo Figueras Jariod 8, one hour before the performance. Prices range from 15 and 18 euros. There is also a Bono amigo of five tickets, transferable, at the price of 60 euros. The debates and meetings will be free admission until full capacity is reached.
