Mud on mud | Opinion by Raúl Rodríguez Vega

One month lasted that of the pandemic will bring out the best in us. It did not take long to fester bilerage and conspiracies around every corner. In the devastated Valenciathe spirit has barely lasted four or five days before the mud has hidden the mud. Nothing can be surprising about the political reaction: not even such a disaster merited a simple phone call between the two main leaders, a photo of unity or something similar. Nor is it surprising that the shameful chain of incompetence -whatever political color they may be- has not led to a single resignation. And so, while the volunteers clear the streets of mud so that life can make its way, the politicians dump it on the neighbor’s house.
