Where is November 9 a public holiday?

This holiday only applies to the city of Madrid and not to the whole autonomous community or the rest of the country, so only workers in the capital will be able to enjoy this holiday in November.

The Virgin of La Almudena together with the Day of San Isidro -15 May- are the two patron saints of the capital and the two holidays designated by the city council in the work calendar of 2024. It is a paid and non-recoverable holiday.

The rest of the citizens will have to wait until next Friday, December 6, when it will be back to there will be a bridge across the country. That day is the Spanish Constitution Day, a non-replaceable national holiday. Two days later, on Sunday, December 8, will not be a holiday despite being Immaculate Conception Day.
