“The Legend of the Pianist in the Ocean” comes to the Market Theater by Alfonso Desentre.

The Market Theater brings to the stage by the hand of Teatro Imaginario a successful fable as it is “The legend of the pianist in the ocean”.. On this occasion, the actor takes on the role of a jazz trumpet player who recalls and recounts the incredible story of his best friendNovecento, a child who was abandoned by a family of migrants on one of the ships crossing the Atlantic between Europe and America at the beginning of the 20th century. That child would become a prodigious pianist on board a ship that gathered rich tourists, hustlers and emigrants.

Desentre returns to the formula of the monologue in which he interprets several characters with live music that works so well in the “Leyenda del Santo bebedor”, another of his shows that he continues to represent in Spain and Latin America. Now, this performance “is born with the same desire for continuity” as his previous works, following the formula of combining music and words that he has used in his previous shows. “gives a special beauty to the texts”.said the actor.
