Inhuman rush in Congress

There was still the DANA causing casualties by the dozens on Wednesday morning as it met the Congress of Deputies to deal with the political issues of the moment. Faced with the news that was shaking the country with what was happening in the middle of Spain, the good sense and sense of solidarity of a large percentage of the Chamber of Deputies was the key to the success of the Congress. decided to suspend the session out of solidarity with the victims of the disaster in order to take care, each in his or her own sphere and possibility of helping, to alleviate the incalculable damage and to demonstrate solidarity with the victims.

But in those dramatic moments, some deputies, seconded by the Speaker of the House, realized that the suspension of the session meant delaying for a week the approval of the plans on RTVEimportant for the Government of Pedro Sánchez to assume and distribute the loot of one hundred thousand euros per year to the future members of one of the few State institutions that still remained outside his absolute control. Some deputies of the opposition left the Hemicycle so as not to make the unpresentable act of joining the abandonment of the victims of the DANA, which was turning into a real catastrophe.

As if it were a matter of gravity that TVE should continue to operate for a few more days without sufficient control by the Executive, which has among its priority objectives to better control, something it had already been doing, a means of communication belonging to all Spaniards and, therefore, the best example of the freedom that democracy, so hard won after forty years of dictatorship, provides us with. For what is feared and sensed, after such haste, it is intended to recover, even forcing the representatives of the citizens expressed in the ballot boxes, to fall into the opprobrium of not respecting something so dignified and humanitarian as it is to turn power and respect priority to saving lives after indoctrinating them.
